about jonathan graham

Jonathan Donald Graham was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and grew up not far from there in an ethnic enclave of immigrant Slovak coal miners. Drafted into the military, he served first as a hospital corpsman/medic, then later in aviation. He went on to study poetry writing under Poet Laureate James Dickey, and medicine, becoming an Emergency Physician. Jon resides with Martha on Lone Willow Farm, a sanctuary where they raised their children in the Appalachian foothills of East Central Ohio.  After a 40-year hiatus from writing, at last the time has come for Jon to pen the poems and stories he lived.
